During the order allocation process our software determines the optimal package size based on the product weight, dimensions, and volume for each item contained within the order. This enables us to minimize empty package space and pick directly to the box, eliminating the extra step of moving product from packing bin to the package. This directly translates into cost savings on labor and shipping which are passed along to you, the customer.
Instead of inefficient and error-prone paper-based picking, our process has been automated leveraging a conveyor system and pick to light technology. Pick to light technology speeds up fulfillment by electronically reading order pick tickets, determining the most efficient processing sequence, and then transmitting signals to special light bars mounted on the storage racks that house the product to be picked. The light bars direct pickers to the product and quantity to be picked. Leveraging this technology boosts pick rates and accuracy which means faster service and less returns. Pick-to-light technology has allowed us to achieve a pick error rate of less than .01 percent. We also utilize “hot pick” areas for fast moving products.
Shipping analytics software enables us to find the best rates available shipping rate comparisons using the most up-to-date published raters from carriers, Enlinx negotiated rates, or your own negotiated rates. Rates are calculated using package specifications, such as weight or dimensions. Our goal is to provide the best method of shipping at the lowest price to increase profitability and customer satisfaction.
